About the Company
Established in 1863, this Venue is now one Brisbane’s most iconic pubs. This has largely been owed to a multimillion-dollar refurbishment which unveiled a brand new look for the hotel, and most notably, a stunning rooftop bar on top of the heritage building. Positioned right in the heart of Brisbane CBD, the rooftop outlook is surrounded the city’s most scenic skyscrapers, creating a completely unique and sophisticated ambience that has placed the Venue permanently on the map as a destination to experience some of Brisbane’s best dining, wining, entertainment and everything in between. On the lower level you will find the bustling bistro and dining areas, as well as two expansive bars. The off-street Public Bar has kept it’s olden day charm with adjacent premium TAB facilities and gaming lounge. The Venue also bestows multiple sophisticated function and event spaces including two private rooms located on the rooftop level. With plenty of space and a wide variety of different areas to suit any occasion, this Venue is the perfect place to hold your next event.
About the Role
As the Venue Duty Manager, you will be in charge of the daily operations and report directly to the 2IC and General Manager. You will be exposed to all aspects of the business and be involved in the ever evolving face of Brisbane Hospitality. You will be heavily food and beverage focused, strong in compliance, and able to build maintain and train your team.
Skills & Experience;
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume Venue
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role
- Strong Licensing and Compliance understanding
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- A strong understanding of the local Brisbane City Market
- Excellent customer engagement
- Gaming experience (TAB necessary)
- BOH and admin understanding
- A real hands on team player
- Full-time availability on a rotating 7 day roster including weekends and nights
- A desire to expand your operational knoweldge to progress in your career
