Successful, modern apartment hotel consisting of 50 self contained apartments, located in the attractive harbour city of Newcastle, is seeking a highly experienced management couple with leadership ability to take this property to the next level.
The ideal candidates will have strong, proven skills in the management of a hotel, motel or apartment complex.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the daily operations of the hotel
- Work with the National Operations Manager to achieve strategic business objectives and outcomes
- Monitor day to day booking activity and practicing yield management techniques to maximise occupancy
- Building successful relationships with suppliers, tourism bodies, regional businesses and other industry contacts
- Management and recruitment of staff
- Manage Workplace Health and Safety issues
- Marketing and business development
- Organisation of maintenance, repair and security of the complex
- Assist in the development, monitoring and reviewing of budgets
- After-hours guest services
Successful applicants must have:
- Experience managing a large hotel, motel or apartment complex
- A passion for providing excellent customer service
- Proven leadership ability to motivate, train and direct staff
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly regarded:
- As the management couple will be the nominated licensee they will ideally hold a real estate or residential on-site manager licence
- Experience using the Opera reservations system
