About the role

We're on the hunt for our next super star! Are you an experienced Steward looking for your next move or are you an experienced supervisor looking to join a leading company within the hospitality field?

As the Steward Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day to day operations of the stewarding department, ensuring the cleanliness off kitchens and food and beverage back of house areas, and  leading a high performing team. 

This is a fast paced, think on your feet type of role, so previous stewarding experience along with solid people skills, time management and communication skills are essential.

In this role, you'll be expected to:

• Supervise the kitchen stewards and day to day operations.
• Undertake general administration duties ie rostering, checklists etc
• Undertake team training on SOP's and work related practices.
• Drive and ensure adhereance to HACCP, Food Safety and WHS practices.
• Ensure correct maintenance of all operating equipment and dishwashing machinery
• Maintain clean and tidy kitchen storerooms at all times

To be considered for this role, its expected that you'll have previous experience as a steward and be available to work a 7 day roster, and have the ability to successfully prioritise work loads, delegate tasks and lead your team. You'll also have a solid knowledge in food safety, HACCP and WHS practices.
