About the role

The Oyster Bar Darwin is looking for a full time staff member to work in our busy kitchen with a great team of staff.

We are looking for someone who can work with our simple concept, deliver consistent food preparation and service and who is extremely organised.

The role also offers the opportunity to progress into management should the right candidate apply.

We have a strong management team to train the right applicant in all areas of kitchen operations, should you possess a love for cooking and a experience working in kitchens previously apply today.

What you would be doing

The main things that you would be doing include:

• Food preparation, cooking, plating, presentation
• Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
• Menu planning, development and costing
• Staff training and development

We’re looking for candidates with the following attributes:

• Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Experience in a similar role
• Creative, and passionate about food and providing high standards of food service
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure
• Produce a consistent high level of food
• Strong level of professionalism
• Strong leader with the ability to train staff in a positive manner
