The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding Restaurant/Venue Supervisor who prides themselves on being a professional who can supervise a dedicated large team and lead by example. You will have current and recent experience working in a restaurant, busy cafe or gastro/pub bar. This role will primarily look after our inbound and retail tourist customers, who are a special captive audience and you will need to keep them engaged while delivering outstanding customer service.

To ensure your success in this role you will have: 

• Must have at least 2-3 years’ experience within a similar role
• Worked in either a contemporary café, gastro pub and/or restaurants
• Ability on weekends, nights on 5 days roster
• Second language would be highly advantageous due to clientele
• Exposure to leading staff and being in control of a large group
• Enthusiasm about supporting the local community and being a face of the venue
• Amazing customer service skills, cash handling and food preparation knowledge
• Ability to work unsupervised and taking initiatives
• Ability to think outside the box, be creative and innovative
• A working understanding of food safety standards
• Current RSA Certificate is mandatory
