Vivaldi – Italian Kitchen & Pizza is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Chef to join our fast-paced Italian Pasta and Pizzeria restaurant. The ideal candidate will have the right attitude and passion for the industry.

It is essential that you are qualified and that you have previous cooking experience within a busy commercial kitchen.

The ideal Candidate will fulfil the following requirements:

• Minimum 3 years full time experience

• Planning menus, estimating amount and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients, and order required supplies.
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Discussing food preparation issues with managers and kitchen staff.
• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
• Preparing and cooking food.
• Determining how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
• Instructing cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• Explaining, monitoring and enforcing sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations

• Inspecting supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards
• Understanding of Food Safety and OHS
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
• An ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team in a fast paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Flexibility and reliability to work a variety of shifts including earlier, evenings, weekends and Public Holidays.
