We currently have a casual position available for a motivated and professional Security/Customer Relations Officer to join our friendly and supportive team. As a member of the Security and Surveillance team, you will ensure the safety and security of our members and guests by patrolling all areas of the Club.

What we are looking for

Reporting to the General Manager of Security and Surveillance, you will be responsible for the provision of effective, efficient and responsive security and must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Delivering friendly and efficient service to all patrons and guests
  • Providing patrons and guests with helpful advice and guidance around the Club
  • Informing management of any incidents and developments regarding customer service and complaints
  • Completing relevant records and reports as required with details of events
  • Providing support in emergency situations in a calm and professional manner, and actively providing information to any emergency services when requested to do so
  • Ensuring members and guests who are not granted access to the Club are professionally and politely prevented from gaining access or escorted from the premises
  • Providing first aid assistance to patrons and guests when required

To be considered for this amazing opportunity, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a security or conflict resolution role (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of WH&S Regulations
  • Current Class 1 (a) and 1 (c) Full Security Licence
  • Certificate III in Security
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Flexibility to work a rotating 24 hours, a 7-day roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Current NSW RSA & RCG Competency Card or Certificates (essential)
  • Full working rights

You will also be able to demonstrate the following abilities:

  • Initiative and problem solving
  • Ability to remain calm and maintain a sense of control in difficult situations
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to assess a situation quickly, using appropriate actions to diffuse a situation and provide effective solutions, particularly with people demonstrating disruptive behaviour
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously in addition to a team environment
