Our client is a local council located North of the River, and they are seeking the services of a experienced & qualified Cook / Chef to run their staff canteen at the depot (leave cover).
Starting Monday July 23rd - Finishing Friday 7th September
MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 7.00AM - 2.30PM, $30.00 PER HOUR
As part of this role, you will be responsible for; menu planning, ordering stock, cooking, food preparation, customer service, money collection and banking, kitchen cleaning and other general duties associated with the running of a canteen.
TO be considered for this role you will have;
- Certificate / Diploma in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
- Recent experience cooking in catering or commercial kitchen operations
- Thorough knowledge of kitchen hygiene including appropriate chemical use
- Ability to run the canteen alone, be self sufficient, be self motivated and think on your feet
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills for taking orders
- Experience in menu planning and ordering of stock
All candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol on day of interview.
