A local Canberra Pub is looking for a full-time chef, this role is unique, we are looking for someone that wants to grow their career and one day runs their own venue. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and demand professional teamwork, are looking for progress this might be the role for you. 

Kitchen experience is a must, experience in a managerial role is favourable but not a must. The right applicant will be given a very autonomous role in the venue, but also have guidance provided. You will work with an executive chef for menu development, food costings and rosters, however, the kitchen will be your own during service. 

Must have the following Skills:

• Ensure food quality
• Work in a high-pressure environment 
• Guide and mentor new kitchen staff 
• Cooking with various methods e.g. steaming, roasting, frying, braising & baking
• Excellent food presentation
• High degree of hygiene 
• Team player
• Cater to individual dietary requirements 

The successful candidate will possess a Can-Do attitude and be appreciated by a professional and progressive employer. They will have the ability to work well in a team, grow as an individual, have a passion for good food and good service, be punctual, reliable and well presented, and be a quick learner with good initiative.
