We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Village Manager to join our Relief Team located in the Bowen Basin, QLD. This is a permanent full time role in a specialised team that relieves at the villages to fill operational requirements. The benefits of being a part of a relief team include, experience across different villages, exposure to different management styles, training in policy and procedure of all villages and many more.

All villages are supported by Facilities, Housekeeping, Administration, Guest Services, Health and Lifestyle and Food and Beverage departments.  They also provides fantastic lifestyle options with the provision of sport and relaxation facilities such as pools, gyms, health and well-being and employee programs. 

We are looking for a suitably experienced hospitality professional that will take the lead and ensure that the Village offerings are always of a high standard and, at the same time, maintain a focus on continuous improvement. This is a hand's on role, so you should expect to be involved in all aspects of the Village development.

Key requirements of this role will be to assist in the management of employee development, client relations and pave the way for the continuous improvement in HSQE and ISO Quality Assurance Certifications.

To be considered for this role you must possess:

• Significant experience as a Manager in the hospitality industry – High Volume, fast paced Operations in Accommodation services in the third party integrated services sector or similar is essential
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated successful management experience
• A proven record in financial and budget management supported by strong administrative skills
• Very strong people management ability (mentoring, performance management, disciplinary action etc)
• Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience ensuring compliance to all company and statutory requirements (responsible for all Kitchen practices involving the management of all agreed health, safety, quality and environmental accreditations, including but not limited to AS/NZS 4801, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and HACCP)
• A working knowledge of ordering, storing, preparing and delivering food and experience creating service schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
