Are you an apprentice chef looking for a position in a produce driven local restaurant with a definitive "hands on" approach to food? The position will be offered to a motivated and enthusiastic individual currently enrolled in TAFE or looking to enrol
You must be passionate about food and cooking, be creative, love what you do and maintain high standards at all times.
You must have:
- Good food knowledge
- strong communication skills
- enthusiasm, energy, fresh ideas and engaging personality
- able to work in a faced paced environment
- ability to think on your feet
- ability to work in a team environment
- enthusiasm for local, seasonal and sustainable produce.
- availability to work weekday, weekends, day and night shifts.
We have a kitchen garden where we will grow produce to be incorporated in the menu and work with great seasonal and boutique producers.

One Penny Red and Vernons bar is located in Summer Hill's iconic Post Office building built in 1900.
