About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and committed Doorman. The role will report directly to our Rooms Division Manager and be responsible for providing a sincere welcome experience to our guests. A passion to assist and engage with our guests is a must for this exciting role.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Providing charismatic, charming and professional door service at the hotel entrance
• Warmly welcoming our valued Guests 
• Providing car door service to all hotel guests
• Assisting the Concierge team in greeting all check-in guests
• Assisting the Concierge team in unloading baggage
• The ability to undertake Langham quality assurance processes when necessary
• Assisting the Concierge team in farewelling all departing guests
• Assisting the Concierge team in retrieving stored luggage from the luggage store and loading luggage into guest vehicles as necessary
• Calling taxi's and booking transfers for all hotel patrons, sometimes with very short notice
• Providing direction services for all hotel patrons when boarding a taxi or exploring by foot
• Conveying all patrons' final destinations to taxi drivers in a clear and concise manner to ensure safe delivery of our guests to their final destination
• Interacting with department and hotel colleagues in a professional and positive manner to foster excellent rapport and relationships
• Promoting team spirit to ensure effective two- way communication
• Preparing and dispatching beverages for all departure limousine guests

Skills & Experience

Your skills and experience will include:

• Possession of a valid Australian Driver's License [essential for manual and automatic vehicles]
• Full rights to work in Australia
• The ability to work rotating shifts
• Some experience with PMS Opera software [experience will be highly regarded]
• A demonstrated commitment in delivering exceptional guest service
• An understanding of the Sydney CBD
• A passion for working with people in a people-centric environment
• The ability to embrace and demonstrate Langham Hospitality Group values
