ACCOUNTS ROLE

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Accountant for Campus Perth and Hostel G

Campus Perth

Campus Perth is a new wave of student accommodation opening its doors in January 2019 with four room types that have an emphasis on technology and design, Campus Perth will welcome over 700 domestic and international students.

Hostel G

Hostel G is Perth’s first 2.0 hostel with a focus on art, design and community living. With over 200 beds and 6 room types, Hostel G is more than just a provider of shared accommodation but an enable of social experiences for travelers.

About the Role

Must have 5 years or more experience in the role of an Accountant

CPA or Chartered Accountant qualified

Financial knowledge and expectations

Bookkeeping – P& L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow

Forecast and Budget

Tax Reporting -GST, FBT, IAS etc.

Daily & weekly operational reporting

Monthly and Yearly Financial reporting

Payroll processing including an understanding of awards

Experience with Trust accounting and Bond reconciliation

General duties as required

Management

Leading a small team overseeing all Financial functions (AR, AP, General Cashier and Payroll)

Reporting directly to the General Manager

System expectations

PMS – experience with RMSs or related an advantage

POS- POS experience with small outlet is okay (RMS or related)

Finance software -Sun system/ Xero/ MYOP would be an advantage

Payroll systems

Proficient in all aspects of Excel (Microsoft Suite of Programs)

Other expectations

Experience in a small team environment

Familiar with Hotel, Hostel, or long stay accommodation environments

Timely and accurate reporting
