The Position
We are currently seeking experienced Part-Time Catering Assistants for our brand new aged care facility in Wembley.
The facility follows a new concept of open free-flowing care which provides its residents with the opportunity to be more involved with their dining experience. Our catering staff are given a great opportunity to interact with residents and experience a home from home feel whilst still providing high quality service
Key Duties
- Dishwashing / ability to operate industrial dishwasher
- Preparing and assisting with basic food preparation with the Chef
- General clean down duties associated with preparing food in the kitchen
- Receiving stock
- Temperature monitoring
- Setting up dining room
- Food service
The Person
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of food service and preparation
- Basic knife skills
- Ability to operate an industrial dishwasher
- Knowledge of food hygiene & OHS
- Experience in commercial kitchen environment
- Experience in customer service
In line with the Legislation, a Valid and Current (3yrs) Police check will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position.
