Hotel Kununurra is looking for its next SUPERSTAR Sous Chef!
Work in conjunction with the Head Chef to be responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the venue’s kitchen. Demonstrate a commitment to total customer satisfaction through the development of innovative menus and the motivation of employees to provide excellent product quality and presentation.
Some of the Responsibilities would be:
- Build effective workplace relationships
- Monitor and maintain stock levels to reduce wastage and assist the Head Chef in conducting stock takes
- Adhere to Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures and ensure a safe and hygienic workplace for staff and customers
- Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and the standard of procedures are observed to provide a consistently high level of service
- Assist in creating a team that works together with trust and takes responsibility to meet the goals of the venue
- Implementation of a variety of menu options working within approved budgets in conjunction with the Head Chef
What we are looking for!
- Act as a role model providing support and assistance adopting a hands-on approach in the venue
- Lead by example when attending to customer requests, enquiries and complaints. Show efficiency in constantly striving to provide total customer satisfaction
- Attend to operational problems and needs promptly. Escalate when necessary; follow through in order to maintain good public relations with customers
- Outstanding time management
- Have at least 1-2years experience in similar role
