About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic part time Room Attendant who has a passion for providing an exemplary level of customer service skills, excellent organisational skills, drive to exceed key business objectives and the ability to multi-task.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager and/or Housekeeping Supervisor, the Room Attendant performs duties in the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms according to hotel standards under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor.

Key requirements for this role will include: 

• Excellent eye for detail
• Clean and maintain the established quota of guest rooms to the required standard and within the allocated time
• Provide professional customer service with guests and fellow team members
• Clean bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, floor surfaces
• Strip and make beds and change bed linens
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, mini bar, window ledges and shelves thoroughly
• Clean the kitchen and all appliances, cutlery and crockery thoroughly
• Vacuum the entire room and empty the trash bin
• Replenish amenities, linens and supplies in guest rooms
• Ensure all electronic devices and lights are functioning properly
• Adhere to lost property procedures
• Ensure all OH&S procedures are adhered to within the department
• Have a sound knowledge of the hotel's facilities and service
• Attend training programs as required
• Report any guest complaints or maintenance issues
• Maintain housekeeping trolley and equipment
• Vacuuming of common areas (Corridors)
• Maintain storeroom and chemical room

Applicants for this role will ideally have previous experience as a room attendant within a hotel environment.  As this is an extremely physical role all applicants must be physically fit.  Shifts will vary and be rostered on a rotating basis so full availability including weekends and public holidays is essential.
