We are seeking a motivated and experienced Front Office superstar who is looking to take a step toward a Front Office Manager role . Our ideal candidate will be a highly experienced and enthusiastic current Duty Manager with Front Office Manager ambitions.

Working closely with our Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Front Office Department, Overseeing the Duty Managers, Team Leaders and Guest Service Agents.

You will positively engage our guests with authentic customer service and a can-do attitude. Going the extra mile, you will lead and mentor the Front Office team and take a hands-on approach. You can multitask and will be happy to help out in all areas of the hotel when necessary, leading by example.

This is an operational role that demands a positive attitude, exceptional focus on guest experience and flexibility to work a 7 day rotating roster, including mornings, evenings and the occasional overnight. Some shifts will be scheduled for you to support the Front Office Manager with additional projects .

The Assistant Front Office Manager will be a part of our Executive Team and will have an active role in supporting the Hotel’s culture and decision making processes. The Assistant Front Office Manager will be responsible for the Front Office Department in the absence of the Front office Manager.

Duties include:

  • Monitor key performance indicators for the department, report on results and take corrective action
  • Ensure adherence to company and hotel policies by all departmental employees
  • Ensure compliance with OHS at all times
  • Resume control as Chief Warden in Emergency situations
  • Rostering in line with occupancy and budget requirements.
  • Ensure all feedback from guests is dealt with promptly and in an appropriate manner
  • Be able to lead the team by example
  • Be a catalyst for superior guest service
  • Training staff members 

We will require team members to

  • Hold a minimum of 2 years experience as a Duty Manager within a similar environment
  • Be available 7 days a week on a rotating roster with the occasional overnight shift
  • Have experience with staff supervision and management;
  • Be an excellent Front Office trainer
  • Role model our values and lead by example
  • Have a passion for outstanding customer service;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills;
  • A good understanding of revenue management;
