Award winning A la Carte restaurant is looking for a Restaurant Floor Manager who is passionate about wine, food and customer service that will allow you to successfully " run the floor". Must be hard working, reliable and team player, with the ability to multitask. Must be very organized, have excellent communication skills which is essential for our customers and young dynamic team.
This person will work closely with the owner head chef and higher management.
Other essential requirements
You will need to show leadership to the front of house during quiet and busy nights, supervising staff which includes, monitoring quality of food, service and ensuring that, safety and health standards, are considered at all time by all the staff.
Be able to work independently.
You will have an excellent knowledge of wines, food and wine pairing.
Have a sound knowledge of licensing laws, stock and wastage management.
Implementing customer service standards. Including bookings and organizing functions.
Ordering wine, coffee and essentials.
Have an eye for details.
Contribute to promotions and marketing.
Cash handling, programming and operating the till.
Making coffee and overseeing and maintaining coffee machine.
Overseeing the bar operations, including developing new cocktails
You will need to hire, train front of staff members with food and wine and build rapport with existing clientele and build new ones.
Willing to learn more about wine which is essential to our award-winning wine list.
Opening and closing the venue when needed.
Five nights a week Tuesday-Saturday
You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
You must have a Manager Liquor License
You must have a first aid certificate (or willing to obtain).
