Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will manage the Bar and Lounge area at Black Bar & Grill. The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of bar operations and management experience in a similar role within a fine dining bar.
You will create and implement innovative beverages and successful strategies to enhance service delivery by empowering team members to create thrilling and memorable guest experiences.
Duties
- Foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment
- Lead and motivating our Bar Attendants to continuously deliver five-star service in line with The Star's Service Culture
- Create innovative promotions and concepts thus creating a destination of choice for our guests
- Recruit, develop and train our team (including performance reviews)
- Work with the Restaurant Manager to analyse financial performance by managing the stock, controlling costs, P&L, wages and other incidentals
- Respond to guest feedback and implementing process to prevent reoccurrence
- Evaluation of operating techniques to maximize efficiency
Requirements
- Solid experience in a similar role within a fine dining Bar
- Strong product knowledge, wine and cocktails
- Proven ability to lead a large and diverse team of Bar Attendants
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Available to work on a seven-day rotating roster
- Understanding of profit/ loss reporting
