Aged Care Chef Manager - Southern Highlands - NFP


Outstanding full-time opportunity for an experienced, capable chef manager with a leading provider of residential aged care.

Take responsibility for the leadership of a team of cooks/chefs to design and cater menus and meal plans that will be of the highest quality, while remaining within aged care guidelines as well as residents dietary requirements.

About you
  • Certificate in Commercial Cooking or relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Food Handling/Food Safety Certificates highly regarded
  • Previous experience in a similar management role/s required
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong WH&S awareness.
  • Must have a current police clearance certificate or willingness to obtain.
Key responsibilities
  • Preparation, presentation and serving of high quality food and meals to residents in accordance with food safety legislation.
  • Ensuring adequately qualified staff are working and maintain their appropriate qualification level.
  • Supervision of kitchen staff.
  • Ensuring the food safety plan is followed at all times.
  • Quick and efficient serving of food and meals at appropriate temperatures.
  • Adherence to menus and plans for meals, with provision of choice for residents.
  • Provision of meals in accordance with diet requirements.
  • Maintenance of accurate kitchen documentation.
  • Maintenance of stock at pre-determined levels, and overseeing appropriate ordering.
  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen area and equipment, and ensuring this is maintained.
