Situated within walking distance from the domestic terminal and 5 minutes by car from the international terminal, The Branksome Hotel & Residences is ideal for those who are seeking luxury living for a short layover at Sydney Airport or for business meetings at the airport precinct. It is less than 15 minutes away from the Sydney CBD, making a shopping trip downtown just a short ride away.

 

We are looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our Front Office team.

 

As the Duty Manager, your primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop and motivate the Front Office team alongside the Front Office Manager
  • Acting as a role model for the Front Office team
  • Actively resolving guest complaints and challenges
  • Lead by example when attending to guest requests, being proactive and resourceful
  • Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using Opera Cloud
  • Assist food and beverage departments during all day services where required
  • Assist Hotel Manager in replying guest reviews on OTA and Social Networks. 
  • General front office administration duties
  • Daily accounting data entry and reconcile
  • Hotel security

 

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

  • Have experience in a similar role within a 4 to 5-star hotel environment
  • Be available to work across a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, early mornings, late evenings and the ability to attend onsite when on call overnight to guest requirements.
  • Have an approach to guest service that is second to none
  • Exceptional customer service skills, communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Previous experience with a property management & point of sales system. Preferably Opera and MICROS.
  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • A willingness to use initiative and strong problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of computer literacy and accuracy
  • Attention to detail and understanding of basic accounting processes
  • Possess a strong background knowledge in both Front Office and Reservations
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • New South Wales Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
