VenuesLive Management Services (NSW) Pty Ltd (VenuesLive) proudly manages ANZ Stadium, Australia’s premier sports and entertainment venue with an annual patronage in excess of 1.3 million people.  ANZ Stadium hosts major events including the NRL Grand Final, State of Origin, Bledisloe Cup, concerts and music festivals as well as many other national and international sporting and entertainment events. VenuesLive also provides catering services to various venues and events throughout New South Wales, including the Sydney metropolitan area and Wollongong.

Reporting to the Retail Catering Manager the successful applicant must be a flexible, highly organised team player with proven experience in a similar large scale food and beverage operations role. This primary focus of this position is to coordinate the delivery of VenuesLive’s retail catering services at ANZ Stadium and at other venues and events.     

The key responsibilities of the position are:

  • Coordinate the operational delivery VenuesLive’s retail catering services for various venues and events.
  • Coordinate the delivery of retail catering services in a manner which focuses on exceptional customer experience, whilst meeting VenuesLive’s commercial business outcomes.
  • Monitor standards and strive to improve operational performance.
  • Develop, motive and lead a team of casual supervisors and staff.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of retail staff training.
  • Assist with the control of primary operational costs including labour, stock and overheads.
  • Assist with the review and improvement of policies and procedures for the department.
  • Attend and participate in work health and safety and food safety meetings.
  • Collate and prepare timely and accurate financial and operational reports.
  • Coordinate the delivery of other (non-retail) catering services as requested.

The key skills and attributes required are:

  • High standard of written and verbal communication and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, responsible service of alcohol and work health and safety legislation.
  • A sound knowledge of stock control procedures.
  • Accredited NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate essential.
  • Statement of Attainment in Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures or equivalent highly regarded.
  • Excellent personal presentation, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Competency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet applications.

In addition to the above criteria, attention to detail, a customer focus, high levels of energy, willingness to work flexible hours in line with the requirements of VenuesLive’s event schedule (which includes evening and weekend work) and a positive ‘can do’ attitude, is what is required to successfully undertake this position.
