Gaythorne RSL are an iconic medium sized licensed club located in the North West suburbs of Brisbane only 11 km from the city.

We have recently taken our food operations back in house and plan to make a significant statement in the area with exceptional standards of food quality as our trademark. This will be backed up by a team that is motivated and driven to achieve customer satisfaction excellence.

The club has a bistro that seats 210+ people and two Cafes that serve light meals in addition to the bistro.  Our club has function facilities across 4 rooms with a capacity of 500 people.

We are currently seeking qualified chefs or Cooks to fill a causal vacancy for 20-30 hours per week.  

You will be required to work closely with our Senior Management Team & Head Chef to ensure we can enhance our customer's satisfaction during their dining experience.

You must;

  • Have the relevant qualifications & experience
  • Have an  energetic and motivated personality, along with the ability to multi-task & be highly organised and efficient
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Have an extremely high level of care with the food you produce
  • Display  a clear understanding of meal costings and general kitchen cost controls
  • Operate with a keen eye for detail
  • Be able to work flexible hours, weekends and evenings are a must.  If you cant work Friday and Saturday do not apply.  
  • Have Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Display strong discipline with  following standard recipes, portion sizes and procedures within specified time limits
  • Maintain kitchen to Health and Safety Food Hygiene Legislation
