The Position

You must have a real passion for not only food but for people! Based at the Sydney Support Office in McMahons Point, the role of National Executive Chef will work collaboratively with all departments with the URBAN support team to create, develop and select the best culinary offers, brands and concepts for new & existing business opportunities.

Reporting to the GM of Brand Development you will need to work closely with operational, business development, supply chain and brand development teams to shape culinary experiences that reflect flair, creativity and quality beyond our client & customer expectations.  The role will require a confident blend of both solo and team work. The ability to get into the detail of menu creation, engaging culinary presentations through to the operational reality of mobilisation.

This fixed term contract is an ideal opportunity to add new dimensions, skills and experiences to an already successful culinary career.

 Key Duties

  • Food & Beverage development for new business & client retention
  • Food & Beverage development for retail culinary concepts & brands
  • Support the culinary team in corporate culinary events and programmes
  • Culinary Coaching & Leadership
  • Knowledge Management – keep up with industry trends, maintain and develop a network of industry contact and share knowledge and skills across the business
  • Subject Matter Expert – be the “go to” person regarding food/kitchen HSEQ consultation/food & operations safety breaches and new food safety document process reviews
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety and food safety standards

The Person

  • Trade Qualified Chef
  • Team player and able to work autonomously and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
  • Innovative culinary skills
  • Be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
  • Solid knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
