Little Penguins Early Learning Centre is a childcare centre in Higgins. We are seeking an experienced chef/cook who is passionate about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for children. This is a permanent part-time role, working Monday to Friday with working hours negotiable
The successful applicant will;
- Have experience and passion for cooking healthy and nutritious meals
- Have completed relevant vocational qualifications in commercial cookery and have a current working with children's check
- Be experienced in developing a healthy and nutritious rotating menu for children, including children with allergies and intolerances
- Be reliable, motivated and enthusiastic member of the Team
- Have great time management skills and be confident in managing a kitchen;
You will be responsible for;
- Preparing healthy & nutritious meals on time for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for babies and children each day, including the preparation of purees and special diet meals
- Ordering food supplies in line with Menus and within service budget
