About the role:
We are looking to recruit skilled people with a strong work ethic and great communication skills. The successful candidate will be committed to providing exceptional customer service - and loves working as part of a hard working and professional team. Previous experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a café or restaurant is essential. We are looking for people with excellent skills who is ready to hit the ground running.
Morning shifts will be responsible for assisting with the running of breakfast, lunch and coffee trade during the week, responding to emails and phone enquiries, liaising with the restaurant manager in hand over for dinner service, stock ordering of coffee, milk, cups etc.
Evening shifts will be responsible for assisting with lunch and dinner services, afternoon coffee trade, setting up and packing down the restaurant, managing junior staff and stock taking.
The following skills and knowledge are required:
- good coffee knowledge
- ability to work under pressure in a small team environment
- exceptional customer service skills
- great interpersonal and communication skills.
- managing and leading the front of house team to deliver exceptional service to our customers
- stock purchasing and control
- an interest in wine is also an advantage.
About the restaurant:
Temporada is a casual bar and eatery that is open all through the day (breakfast through to dinner) during the week and for dinner on Saturdays. Temporada opened in early 2014 and received a SMH chefs hat in it’s first year along with inclusion in the Gourmet Traveller top 10 restaurants for Canberra. It was also awarded Restaurant of the Year by The Canberra Times. In 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Temporada retained it’s chefs hat and was again listed by Gourmet Traveller as one of the top restaurants to eat at in Canberra.
