Job Summary & Responsibilities
Cater Care are currently seeking Part Time Catering Assistants and Kitchen Hands for ongoing work at our Aged Care facility in Hornsby area.
The key to our success is our people and your role in this environment is to provide friendly, attentive and efficient service to our valued residents.
Roster: Various Part Time hours across 7 days Breakfast/Lunch or Dinner Service
Please note: successful applicants will be required to undergo a Police Clearance
Close to Public Transport
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Basic food preparation, plating up and serving food to elderly residents
  • Responsible for delivery of special diets and diet requirements including allergies/intolerances, supplements and texture modified soft & purees
  • Customer service, warm friendly interaction with elderly residents
  • General cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas and extensive washing dishes
  • Compliance to food safety hygiene and food handling/preparation procedures
Key Attributes required:
  • Good customer service, strong communication skills
  • Previous experience within Aged Care food service or working with vulnerable persons
  • Food handling experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently, yet as part of a team
Successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar role working in Aged Care, Health or Hospitals, be well presented and self-motivated with a strong focus on customer care.
