Situated in the inner east just outside of the Brisbane CBD; this excellent café and function space will be open 7 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and after dark drinks and nibbles. With a strong emphasis on fresh good quality food and fantastic coffee, this busy cafe is seeking an outgoing, hands on, 'leads by example' Manager and Assistant Manager.
As part of an expanding company, this cafe needs strong leadership coupled with a passion of food and service. As the Manager or Assistant Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager.
The main things that you would be doing include:
- Develop strategies to increase customer visits and optimise profitability
- Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
- Maintain outstanding store presentation and visual merchandising standards
- Manage stock levels
- Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales
- Lead, recruit, train, motivate and coach a high performing team
- Report on business performance, sales, new initiatives and relevant issues
- Management of Operations
- Overall responsibility for catering and external sales including alcohol and functions
- Maintaining Clear and professional communication with all team members

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience managing a fast-paced Café / Restaurant / Bar environment
- Excellent service and presentation standards
- The ability to operate in a professional and positive manner at all times
- Experience in managing staff
- Strong leadership skills and enjoy training and developing others
- Are passionate about your career
- Have a hands-on attitude coupled with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Stock control and ordering experience
- Knows and loves great quality food and coffee
- Has full time availability including weekends
