About the business and the role

Lee Ho Fook is an acclaimed new style Chinese restaurant in the heart of Melbourne's Flinders Lane restaurant precinct. 

This position is a full time position.  The right candidate will have opportunities to have their input into the beverage programme and add their own personal flair to the service style of the restaurant.

    We are moving the business into an exciting new style of service to help champion the ever changing menu and would love a service professional to help us in the next phase of our exciting journey.

     

    Job tasks and responsibilities

    We are looking for a full time service professional to take on the role of Restaurant Supervisor, duties include:

    • Looking after the customer and patrons of the restaurant.
    • Training staff and ensuring service standards. 
    • Creating and fostering a learning work environment.
    • Having input and restructuring a wine and beverage programme.
    • Maintaining a professional service forward style for the restaurant.
    • Contributing to the operational and service aspects within the restaurants.

    Skills and experience

    For this position we require:

    • Love for customer service and building relationships with patrons
    • Passion for food, wine and restaurants
    • Wine knowledge and wine/beverage service experience
    • Previous role as a restaurant supervisor or head waiter.
    • A keen eye for detail and an inspiring work ethic
    • Effective communication skills and ability to lead a team 
    • Some basic bookkeeping and operational experience
    • Able to work weekends and nights.

    Previous experience in a similar calibre restaurant preferred, previous experience in Chinese cuisine not essential.
