Miss Margaret is a social enterprise café that holds charity dinners and provides training for refugees. The successful applicant must have an interest in working for a business that exists for more than just profits and have the skills to be able to give instruction to more junior staff with limited English skills.
You will manage the kitchen with support from the owner from the beginning of August. You will train with the current chef until they depart at the end of August to ensure you have all the necessary skills and knowledge to make this role your own. We have great processes and procedures in place, so this will suit a competent cook or junior chef that wants to take on the challenge of running a kitchen. We are a small team so to be suited to this role you must be comfortable with working autonomously as well as having interaction with customers and other staff.
We serve predominately brunch and quick ‘grab and go’ lunch food using seasonal ingredients and home style sweets. The role is full time, over 5 days a week. Weekend availability between the hours of 7am and 4pm is essential.
