Cater Care are seeking a Part Time Cook for an Aged Care facility based at Peregian Springs.
The key to our success is our people. Reporting to the Site Manager, your role in this environment is to provide a warm and welcoming service to our valued residents through the cooking and service of a variety of homestyle meals, preparation of ingredients and provision of friendly customer service.
Roster: Various days and hours
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of ingredients and cooking homestyle lunch, dinner, dessert and fresh baked morning/afternoon tea
• Special diets and diet requirements including allergies/intolerances, supplements and texture modified soft & purees
• Exceptional customer service, serving food to elderly residents including trolley service and dining room service
• General cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas including washing dishes
• Compliance to food safety hygiene and food handling/preparation procedures
• Ability to work independently in a professional kitchen environment
• Previous experience within Aged Care food service or working with vulnerable persons
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience in a similar role
Successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar role working in Aged Care, be well presented and self-motivated with a strong focus on customer care.
