As a Chef your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation area and kitchen equipment
  • Meal and food preparation for patients as per recipe guide
  • Maintain food stock levels
  • Maintain regular daily temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as per food safety standards
  • Implement Food Safety Program
  • Liaise with management and facility staff
  • Lead, supervise, coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional service

Lady Davidson Private Hospital is one of the largest private dedicated rehabilitation hospitals in Australia and is set on the edge of the beautiful Ku-ring-gai National Park. With 115 inpatient rehabilitation beds and an extensive Day Program, the hospital has been designed to promote rehabilitation with the use of five well-equipped gymnasiums, a large hydrotherapy pool and an independent living assessment unit.

Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cooking
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (desirable)
  • Available for shifts over a 7 day roster including weekend work
  • Experience in hospital or hotel food service environment preferred
