Working as part of the local sales team this exciting full time position will suit a pro-active, highly motivated and well travelled adventure and professional travel consultant. The role entails:
- Working to sales targets
- Selling the expanse of WE and WYA products to the public and education bodies, as well as fielding travel agent calls
- Presenting quotes to prospective travellers packing our adventures, air and additional land arrangements
- Assisting private groups and FITs by developing custom made itineraries
- Assisting our WYA sales manager in preparing itineraries and documentation surrounding the experiences
- Opportunities for business development within the WYA brand
- Assisting the National Sales Manager with group sales
- General office duties
To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the following competencies:
- Self sufficiency and enjoyment of working in a small office environment
- A minimum of 3 years in the travel industry and preferably with adventure travel specialisation. Having an education/teaching experience will help but is not essential
- First hand travel experience to many of the World Expeditions and World Youth Adventures destinations – such as Nepal, India, South America, Africa, Asia.
- Successful track record in selling travel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to use initiative and strong relationship development skills
- Great communication and organisation
- Good writing skills
- CRS qualification – Amadeus preferable
- The ability to react well to taking direction
