About the business
The Albion Hotel is a popular venue well known for its offerings in the bistro as well as its TAB and sports bar.
An exciting career opportunity exists for a highly motivated Venue Manager, or Assistant Venue Manager wanting to move up, but this role isn't for the faint hearted. The position requires the successful incumbent to have very solid customer service skills along with an exceptionally strong personal presence.
Job tasks and responsibilities
As the Venue Manager you must have all your current licences. You will be responsible for the day to day financial operations of the venue and the management of staff but will be provided with support from your Area Manager.
If you want to test your strategic and entrepreneurial skills but not stand alone doing so then this role will provide you that opportunity. Additionally, driving revenue management, food and beverage on a small scale, gaming, customer service and achieving financial targets is key to your success.
Skills and experience
Applicants must have the following skills & experience;
- Ability to troubleshoot and tackle problems head on.
- Lead and manage, motivate and work well within a team environment.
- Have a can do attitude.
- Ability to professionally supervise, train and direct staff.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of current gaming legislation, regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
The Person
To qualify for this position you must have proven success as a Venue Manager, or an Assistant Venue Manager who wants to take the next step, and be able to lead and manage staff to deliver strong customer service standards in both a punting and family environment.
