About the business
Fins has been operating at the highest level for the past 25 years. We are well established and looking for an experienced and professional Cook.
About the role
Duties of the job include:
-Working under the direction of a team of chefs, including training apprentices or junior staff.
-As we deal with seafood, applicant must be experienced and adhere to our systems of food portioning, safe food handling (including storage) and daily examine of produce and prep to ensure quality.
-A thorough understanding of food allergies is required, along with following our recipes to prepare menu items for guests with dietary requirements?
-Confident with plating dishes, including tasting prep to ensure seasoning is correct
-Applicant will be responsible for a section of the kitchen so daily cooking and completion of prep lists will be expected
This is a full-time position. Salary: $53,900 + super
Benefits and perks
We will provide training however we expect applicant will be experienced with all basic cooking equipment (fryers, grill, oven etc) and ready to join the line in the kitchen.
Skills and experience
Applicant must be confident in a high end fine dining kitchen and have a min 2 years on the job experience and AQF Certificate 3 or AQF Certificate 4 of commercial cookery.
