You are an experienced Food Service / Barista seeking a casual role in a busy café. Looking for a job with no night shifts? Your roster will include a variety of shifts between 7 am to 7 pm on Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays. While you will have a set roster, but some flexibility to cover shifts in response to peek needs, vacancies and shift changes is essential.
The Eaglemont Dish is a well-established café specialising in take home and eat in food which is prepared fresh daily on the premises. It has a reputation for great food, great coffee and friendly service.
Your busy day will involve a high level of customer service to regular, local clientele including serving food and non-alcoholic beverages, making coffee & teas, processing financial transactions and keeping all areas clean and tidy.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Sound experience in a busy café including making coffees, teas, etc
- Comprehensive knowledge of food service and food handling
- Confidence to accurately manage cash and credit card payment
- Ability to work as part of a team, cope with some pressure when busy while maintaining a calm demeanor and sense of humour
