Our Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our fantastic team in Port Douglas. You enjoy the challenges of getting the best out of your team in a fun and inspirational way as well as the challenges of making our customer experiences the best they have ever had.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the floor and bar service on a day to day basis.
- Manage the execution of large events.
- Effectively roster up to 40 staff members.
- Drive exceptional customer service.
- Be leaders, trainers, and motivators of the FOH team.
- Manage all stock and inward goods process.
- Assisting the facilitation of corporate and private events.
- Work closely with Venue Manager in achieving targets and embrace the Hemingway's culture.
What You Will Need
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Be passionate about craft beer with an ability to sell the ‘craft’ message.
- Experience in a high volume environment.
- Takes pride in their job and exudes a positive "can do" attitude.
- Goal oriented and able to engage others in attaining those goals.
- Very organised with great attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- A current RMLV and POS experience would be beneficial for this position.
- You will have a service-oriented disposition with attention to detail being critical.
Your Experience Will Include.
- Coordinating and execution of functions.
- Cash handling, reconciliation, stock control and management.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously.
- Providing high-level customer service skills in a variety of hospitality offerings.
- Giving and receiving feedback for the benefit of staff and the management team.
