About us:

Mona Vale's major new social hub Park House Food & Liquor opened its doors in October with its Flagship restaurant Food Merchants unveiling the next exciting food and entertainment concept beneath one roof (and a garden).

Front Yard Brews & Burgers - the new beer and burger-obsessed gathering place was Stage Two of the evolution.  Front Yard Brews & Burgers is the place to say cheers to the arvo sun and kick it with your mates or listen to a serious line up of live local talent. Out front of the House, this al fresco lair boasts an outdoor brew garden and a pretty damn impressive feature bar with 40-odd craft beers on tap. From the kitchen we bring you a new Americana food concept which means you can sink your teeth into some seriously epic burgers and specialty smoked meats every day of the week. We're also collaborating with local musicians and DJs to make sure conditions are just right for burgers and booze. We've introduced Front Yard Noise every Friday night which will feature 2 epic bands we also have DJ's set to spin every Saturday night.

A food truck concept in the carpark will follow in the next month along with events spaces and further innovative food offerings on the spacious Northern Beaches site. 

About the role:

As a Venue Manager with control of Front Yard you will be a critical part of the venue operations teams as well as being required to assist and lead and contribute to the delivery of the dining experience for customers whilst meeting business objectives

  • Have control over the venue's appearance and atmosphere for all events
  • In charge of all shift operations from the setup, running and pack down of the venue
  • Work as part of the venue leadership team to instil culture of superior customer service leaving the customer 'wanting more'
  • Day and night shift reports.
  • Security of venue.
  • WHS knowledge
  • Implementing policies and procedures within venue.

About you:

  • A least two years' experience in a comparable role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sense of fun and proven ability in managing and leading teams 
  • Extensive food and wine and beer knowledge – local and international
  • Ability to run a face paced venue that has multiple profit centres 
  • Enjoy being hands on as well as efficient when it comes to reporting and paperwork
  • You have the ability to meet and work towards both your own, the venue and companies goals and deadlines.
  • We need somebody who thrives on responsibility but at the same time brings their ideas to the table.
  • Someone who is not scared of working a rotating roster
