Housekeeper
Starting salary $53,386
The High Commission of Canada is conducting a staffing action to fill a full time position for a Housekeeper at the Official Residence. The position will initially be offered for a term of three years commencing in August 2018 with the possibility of extension. It is for 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. The basic responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
general cleaning of the Official Residence;
provide laundry services;
provide supervision as required for outside workers;
assist with preparation of official functions, including providing table service.
Language Requirement:
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. (The ability to work in French would be an asset.)
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (must be met):
- Eligibility for a Government of Canada Reliability Status which will also include a local criminal background check.
- Be eligible to work in Australia.
- Maintain a valid driver's licence throughout employment period.
- The candidate must be willing to work overtime on occasion when requested.
