Looking for permanent full-time experienced cook
We are currently looking for an experienced full-time Cook to join our establishment. We operate a busy Indian restaurant business located in Bunbury WA. The successful candidate must be available to work both day and night shifts, as well as weekends, and has in-depth knowledge in the preparation and cooking of North, South and Muglai Cuisines, and has at least 24 months of employment experience in a busy commercial kitchen operation, and possess qualifications which is at least equivalent to an Australian Certificate IV in CommercialCookery.
The duties to be carried out by the successful candidate will include:
- Daily preparation of food items on the menu for regular service and functions.
- Collaborate with the owner to plan and develop recipes and menus.
- Plate and check serving / portion size prior to serving.
- Prepare curries, sauces and salad.
- Prepare and cook meats, sea food and hot and cold Indian desserts.
- Receive and store kitchen supplies.
- Clean and Maintain kitchen area.
- Inspect equipment, work areas and general supplies to ensure that the established health and safety standards are met all the time.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels to reduce wastage.
