An exciting opportunity has become available at Bondi Backpackers for a receptionist who strives to provide excellent customer service. The position works on a rotating roster and the successful candidate needs to be available 7 days a week and for shifts between 7am - 11pm
Under new ownership and recently refurbished the property is home to a spacious rooftop furnished with umbrellas & deck chairs showcasing panoramic views of Bondi, the coastline and its surrounds. The multi-story hostel offers a range of room types from private twin and double rooms to 4 and 6 share mixed dorms with a number of premium dorm options looking straight over Bondi Beach.
Bondi Backpackers plays host to a range of complimentary lifestyle activities such as daily sunrise rooftop yoga classes, personal training sessions, walking tours along the picturesque Bondi to Coogee coastline and learn-to-surf lessons. After a day of fitness and fun guests can unwind and mingle with a selection of weekly social events from beach BBQs to wine & cheese nights and even nights out to explore the very best of Bondi's vibrant nightlife.
The role is reception based and heavily customer service focused - working directly under the hostel GM you will learn all aspects of the daily running of the hostel reception including: daily banking, reporting and auditing, overseeing the reception operation and working closely with the housekeeping and activities team to ensure a great guest experience.
You must have:
- A love of the Backpacking Industry & Travel
- A friendly and enthusiastic manner, with exceptional customer service skills
- Experience within the hostel/hotel reception environment is essential
- Experience with the GuestCentrix PMS is highly favoured.
