Alseasons are recruiting for a fantastic role in Arcadia at a Rural Retreat centre that caters to school camps and corporate conferences. This role will require a chef with their own transport as there may be occasional requirement to travel to other sites. This role will report to the Catering Manager and involves bulk cooking for groups at the retreat centre and also assisting with catering production for the group’s city function centre. The Chef will be overseeing a group of Catering Assistants and Kitchen Hands.
Shifts will be rostered across 7 days: 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 11:30 to 7:30 p.m. and this employer will endeavour to provide flexibility to accommodate ad hoc personal commitments with shift allocations.
Essential Criteria:
- Trade qualified
- Proven experience in quality bulk cooking with high levels of dietary requirements
- Strong leadership skills
- Responsible and takes ownership
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- Full and flexible availability to work around business needs
- Proven experience in high level of food safety/hygiene compliance
