Delaware North Companies Australia is excited to begin recruiting for our brand new outlets and restaurants as part of Sydney Central Rail Stations redevelopment. So if you have a passion for the hospitality industry, this opportunity could be perfect for you.
Delaware North is a market leader in the catering and hospitality industry with a portfolio spanning: sporting stadiums, airports, education, leisure and entertainment venues across Australia and New Zealand.
We will be opening 5 new outlets to join our current Switchman café at the venue. These offerings include; Eternity Restaurant & Bar, our Central Food Market (including the individual offerings of Convenience, Bakery, Grill and Fresh), and our 2000 Acres Café. As such we need new kitchen hands to support our cooks and chefs in delivery quality fresh food options to these venues.
You will be accountable for the daily production of our grab and go items including sandwiches, fruit salad and preparation of other cafe items as required. The role will also require cleaning of our kitchen facilitates, dishes and utensils.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in preparation of items for Cook team
- Production of sandwiches and other grab and go items
- Recording wastage and stock rotation (First in, First out)
- Liaising with Cooks and Business Managers for preparation orders
- Maintaining food safety including temperature checks
Criteria / Qualifications
- SITXFSA101 – Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety (or willingness to obtain upon employment)
- Experience in a preparation environment will be highly regarded but is not essential

Availability
We require availability across 7 days a week. Must be available for approx. 21-38 hours a week.
