Your new role as Manager of Residential Services is a key leadership role in one of Fresh Hope Care’s Residential Care Services located in East Maitland. As a suitably experienced and qualified leader, you will be responsible for managing the 111 bed ageing in place facility and ensuring the high standards of care are upheld.  Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Management of the facility in accordance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and ensuring operational efficiency;
  • Ensure residents’ rights are protected and their physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs are met appropriately.
  • Driving and maintaining the operational budget of the facility;
  • Creating an inclusive environment in which residents and families/representatives are at the centre of all processes and employees are fully engaged;
  • Provide effective leadership and direction of all employees and clinical matters.
  • Manage the employment cycle of employees including recruitment, orientation, mandatory training, learning and development and performance development reviews of all employees;
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation and reporting systems;
  • Ensuring compliance with systems, procedures and continuous improvement activities.

To be successful in your new role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate and lead staff;
  • In-depth understanding of the aged care accreditation process and compliance requirements;
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse List A;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in senior clinical or management aged care role;
  • Possess or currently undertaking post-graduate management qualification;
  • Experience in operational management within a residential aged care setting;
  • Strong ACFI Documentation and Care Planning experience;
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and engagement skills;
  • Knowledge and experience with key legislative requirements and contemporary practice within the aged care environment.

A current National Criminal History Record Check suitable for aged care (or willingness to obtain) is essential.
