Personal Care Worker / Attendant

Our client is a community owned organisation and operates a variety of retirement living and aged care services in the Illawarra, Southern Highlands and Queanbeyan regions of NSW. They deliver innovative and quality care and support through superior services, practices, and management. They are now looking for a Personal Care Worker to join their company in Shell Cove, NSW, with the potential to earn an hourly rate based on experience in either a Full-Time or Part-Time position. 

The core functions of this position are to deliver personal care, lifestyle and wellbeing activities in a manner that supports customer choice so that older people have great lives.

Reporting directly to the Wellbeing Coordinator some of your responsibilities will include:

• Provide a wide range of personal care services to customers, under limited supervision, in accordance with legislative requirements and each customer’s Care Plan.
• Assist customers in carrying out simple personal care tasks, including undertaking daily hygiene and eating, laying out clothes and dressing, make beds and tidy rooms, store clothes, and clean wardrobes. 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience as a Personal Care Worker, a Certificate III in Aged Care and a First Aid Certificate. Additionally, a Certificate IV in Aged Care and if you have completed Administer and Monitor Medications unit it would be beneficial for this position.

This position would suit a committed and empathetic individual with a high level of communication and organisational skills.
