ABOUT THE ROLES:

Perioperative Services at Mercy Hospital for Women encompasses four Operating Theatres, 16 PACU bays, Day Surgery/DOSA, Preadmission Clinic and Acute Pain Service.  We have a strong commitment to staff education and ongoing professional development with weekly in-services and regular specialist study events provided. 

Our unit caters for women who require specialist surgical care, in a variety of areas such as: Obstetric, Urogynaecology, Reproductive Medicine, Gynaecological Oncology, Endosurgery and General Gynaecology.

  • Full time or part time night and day duty positions
  • Permanent and fixed term contracts available
  • Provide best practice patient care to women during their perioperative phase
  • Join us as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Great location adjacent to public transport (opposite Heidelberg train station and bus services)

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Anaesthetics is essential, PACU experience is desirable
  • Post Graduate Qualification in Perioperative Nursing and or Anaesthesia / PACU will be highly regarded
  • Patient focused with sound clinical knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, motivated and thrives working in a team

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women’s health and associated health, support and diagnostic services.
