Life Pharmacy is an innovative and progressive pharmacy group of independently owned pharmacies located in Central Western NSW, the ACT and Victoria which prides itself on excellence in professional services and customer satisfaction.
The Life Pharmacy group is currently seeking a Dispensary Technician for their Lanyon Pharmacy located in Conder, ACT. Reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge or Retail Manager, the Dispensary Technician is responsible for the smooth running and functioning of the dispensary. This includes assisting the pharmacist and ensuring that the dispensary work environment is neat, tidy and well organised and that scripts are processed according to guidelines and within expected standards and timeframes. The dispensary Technician is also responsible for supporting the Pharmacy Assistants on the shop floor as required.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Processing scripts as per group and “Quality Care Professional Program” guidelines
- Organising deliveries/overseeing pharmacy courier
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to at all times, especially in relation to the dispensing of scheduled pharmaceuticals
- Assist where required with the entry of Guildcare/MedAdvisor data for pharmacists
- Maintain familiarity of DAA programs (Webstercare, MedsPro, etc) and assist with packing when required
- Total stock control and ordering within dispensary based on relevant in-store POS system and ordering protocols
- Ensure daily stock on hand to service the daily needs of the dispensary is maintained
- Complete full monthly stocktakes of all dispensary stock
- Assist with customer service on the retail floor as required
To excel in this role you will need:
- Cert IV in Community Pharmacy or having completed Dispensary Tech accredited course (desirable)
- Experience in handling a dispensing system such as Minfos, FRED etc (desirable)
- DAA preparation (desirable)
- Experience in the pharmacy industry (strongly desired)
- Advanced Microsoft and typing skills
- Customer Service experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Organising and Problem solving skills
