Supplying to multiple Aged Care facilities in the Southern Suburbs, we are seeking experienced and skilled Cooks, Kitchen hands and cleaners for casual roles offering immediate start and ongoing hours
ABOUT THE ROLE
Cook:
- Coordinating and participating in the preparation of high quality meals for residents in accordance with set menus
- Working with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods
- Maintaining details of resident food preferences and dietary restrictions, and preparing meals in accordance with dietary requirements.
- Monitoring temperature control checks for all meals, cool rooms and freezers.
- Promoting food and kitchen hygiene and safety practices, to ensure compliance requirements are met
Kitchen hand:
- Set up food and drink trolleys
- Serving/delivering meals and drinks
- Preparing texture modified food and fluids
- Preparing sandwiches and salads
- Recording accurate temperatures of food
- Washing dishes via dish washer
- Maintaining cleanliness in service areas
Cleaner:
- Meet safety, quality and hygiene standards
- Set up Cleaning Trolleys
- Clean Resident's rooms and bathrooms
- Clean communal areas
- Complete cleaning records
TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE
- Previous experience working in Health Care environments (Aged Care or Hospitals)
- Solid Communication skills to meet the needs of pateints
- Current National Police Certificate or DCSI in aged care
- Your own reliable car and licence
- The ability to work as an organised team player
- Availability for morning shifts across a seven day roster
