We have an opportunity for an AHPRA Registered Nurse Practitioner (or RN working towards). This is a key clinical position within a multidisciplinary team. The service is aimed at ensuring people can stay at home as long as possible or die at home if that is their choice with support and symptom management that ensures they are cared for safely, with respect and in comfort.  The Nurse Practitioner will perform advanced assessments and collaborate with other health professionals to develop care plans. This may include direct referral of clients to other health care professionals, ordering diagnostic investigations and prescribing treatment and ongoing care.

This is a leadership position – you must be a able to initiate and implement evidence based care and evaluate outcomes. Importantly you will provide support and guidance to other team members mentoring and have a commitment to contribute to clinical research and ongoing learning and education.

You must work well in a team and have a passion for nursing and understand the importance of treating patients, relatives and colleagues with respect and dignity in line with the values of the organisation.

Registered Nurse Profile:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Strong experience in palliative care
  • Nurse Practitioner and Leader
  • Great communication skills able to build relationships with patients, colleagues and with other external healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communications skills – written and verbal
  • Current National Police Check
  • Must have valid Drivers License
