Clinical Liaison Nurse – Grade 5
Mental Health – Aged Community
Immediate start – Full Time position
($51.09) per hour
Mildura Base Hospital (MBH) is a 165 bed (level 1) tertiary teaching Hospital. The Hospital is managed by Ramsay Health Care in a contractual arrangement with the Victorian Government.
MBH provides public hospital services on behalf of the Victorian Government to the Community of Mildura and the Sunraysia District and is looking for an experienced registered nurse to join the team
Clinical Liaison Nurse will need to be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant registration with APHRA as a Registered Nurse
- Regular liaison with ICU and ED.
- A current police check and working with children’s check
- Demonstrated experience in the management of people with challenging behaviours including risk management and the development and implementation of behavioural nursing care plans
- Demonstrate the ability to undertake a leadership and consultative role.
- Experience in supporting and providing education to hospital staff.
- Experience in clinical Liaison, emergency Psychiatry and/or community mental health experience will be highly regarded.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the use of excel, work and client management systems.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in the techniques of assessment, intervention and treatment of highly aroused clients in a clinical setting.
